Synthetic materials create the perfect
Hybrid-Ice® surface, bringing together the fun of ice skating with the affordability
of an energy-save product. Without the need for expensive refrigeration units, or electricity, synthetic ice is the
low-cost alternative to real ice. Made from a non-toxic, recyclable, polymer compound, our ice
product can be used year round in any climate conditions, both indoors our outdoors. Microscopic beading on the surface provides
optimum skating performance, and the interlocking design creates a seal between panels.
ADJUSTABLE SPEED A patented,
non-toxic and non-silicone, 'Glide Enhancer' is applied to the surface to facilitate gliding action. The
rink's 'glide factor' is determined by the amount of Enhancer used, cleanliness of the rink surface, and the sharpness
of the ice skates. The more product that is applied, the faster the skating experience. Ultimately the overall glide
factor on synthetic ice is 10-15% slower than real ice, therefore accidents on synthetic ice are almost nil, as compared to
refrigerated or real ice. Synthetic ice is ideal for general skating events, beginners as young as 24 months or for
training to help build up muscle strength.
